Addiction

So I am now like totally addicted to my web site! I change it all the time! I think about changing it when I'm away from my computer. Every other website I go to I think I wish mine would look that kewl. But I remember that it's mine and that it can be however I wish it, and that as long as it is a honest and accurate representation of me it will be fine :)

My DMA visit and audition at UT Austin is approaching - I need to make money so I can actually pay to make it down there!!!

It's only been 2 weeks, back off!

Two weeks eh? That was a quick two weeks. All these decisions that need to be made soon... when am I gonna make them?

I just need to finish my statement of purpose for UT Austin and then somehow pay UM a thousand dollars so that they'll release my transcripts - those bastards. I'm close to writing letters to random rich people asking for assistance. I believe my three letters of reccomendation are all sent out also... I need to check in on those.

I also need to find time and money to get down to Austin to meet with my potential new horn teacher and check the school out, etc etc.

Oh and let's not forget about rent, car payment, insurance, cell phone, electric and gas, cable.

Good news though - I'm up for renewal for car insurance - it's 30 bucks cheaper each month!
(i don't think they know about my speeding ticket in a construction zone from over the summer yet - shhh!)

Sadly, today saw the end of my streak as a recorder soloist with the opera. No more Coronation of Poppea. No more overweight opera singers groping breasts, fondling love handles, or stroking inner thighs... ewwwww.

Also, on a much sadder note... no more cute guy who sang Ottone on Thursday and Sataurday nights. Alas, ours was a non-mutual, non-existent love affair. I'll never forget you!

ha ha ha - I'm such a dork.

But! I am a much happier, more optimistic dork at least :)

Whoa... what have I done?

So yeah... this week I started applying to University of Texas at Austin for the DMA program in horn performance. cRaZY eh?

I realize I have been in a hovering pattern around Ann Arbor - just waiting for something to make me land. I need to make something happen, and so - the DMA pursuit. It's a lot of hard work, but I was smart at one time. I was so many things at one time actually...

So yeah...I am very excited about the possibilities this will bring. This will be great for me.

I'm getting plenty of nice comments and good feedback about the job I am doing in the information office here at the School of Music. Feels nice after the assholes at Applebee's get done with me each night I work there. I'm not saying everybody there is an asshole, but we all have our moments I guess... self included.
Zach is really the biggest douche bag there... currently. Aside from Tara, who apparently only has crushes on (in my humble, usually correct, opinion) grotesquely ugly slobs. She's now buddy-buddy with Zach - he fits the bill... oh the humanity!

I need to keep my lips up to speed, things are starting to go well lip-wise. I have a gig this weekend in Detroit and another next week in Flint. It'll be nice to play on a regular basis again :) I am starting to get ideas about another year of study in London, Berlin, etc - or perhaps Yale would be great too.

I just have to post this here - Phil of the Future is now like my favorite show ever. The Disney channel truly rocks, I love it! Cheesy? Of course! But who cares!
